How far in advance should reservations be made?
Let us first suggest that reservations should be made as
far
in advance as possible. All through out the year and especially during
the summer Candy Hill Campground can be very busy. As soon as you
are able to commit to your plans it is recommended that you call us and
make reservations. This is important because many weekends there
is a 2 or three night minimum if you want full hookups. For a full
list of "Special Weekends at Candy Hill Campground" check out the Major
Events Page.
FOR:
Apple Blossom weekend?
Apple Blossom weekend is one of the biggest weekends in
Winchester
and of course one of the biggest weekends at Candy Hill Campground. For
this event, if you want your pick of site it is reccomended that you
place your reservation at least a year in advance. This is not to
say that you can not get in at a later point but Apple Blossom weekend
normally sells out by February of the year it is scheduled. Full
hookups usually sell out by one year prior to the event. So if you
want to come for the Apple Blossom Festival, get your request in early.
Mother's Day weekend?
Mother's Day weekend is a great one for all you late deciders.
Candy Hill normally notices a low early registration level for Mother's
Day weekend as it so closely follows Apple Blossom and most people were
just here. This makes Mother's day a great weekend come to Candy
Hill. Reservations are still recommended but often not needed as
early as many other popular weekends. Often Candy Hill Campground
has special events going on for mother's day. To find out if this
is the case, refer to the Major Events Page.
Memorial Day weekend?
This weekend you want to get your reservations in at least early
in
the year which you plan to attend. Generally as Candy Hill Campground
staff attend R.V. shows early in the year, people decide to come visit
us for Memorial Day after learning that Apple Blossom is already sold
out. This may not be the case this year but is often the way it works
out.
Father's Day weekend?
Dad's often find themselves at Candy Hill Campground for one
reason
or another on Father's Day. If you are planning to come on Father's
Day, try and get in early as full hookups often sell out quick. Often

Hill Campground has special events going on for father's day. To
find out if this is the case, refer to the Major
Events Page.

has it's own July 4th events going on so make sure to check the Major
Events Page to see what's going on.
Labor Day weekend?
Early each year Candy Hill Campground starts getting calls about
Labor
Day weekend. Everyone seems to know it is a big weekend that they
want to reserve early. There are normally pleanty of water and electric
sites left over to keep bringing people in but it's recommended that
you
get in as early as possible, if you call, late in the year, there
is always a good chance of getting in. So give it a shot.

or it is properly caged in your rig, I think we can look the other way
on birds, hamsters, snakes, pot belly pigs, etc.

we have many people that own R.V.'s and will be glad to help you.
Often, if you need help backing in or with basic instructions, staff

items often forgotten by the first time camper making your first time
out
a time where missing items will not ruin the outting.
