Veramar's Gourmet Cheese and Wine Tasting

Stay at Candy Hill so you are close to this great event! Guided presentation of gourmet cheeses paired with Veramar wines. Limited space available for this after hours event. First Fridays Art Walk

On the First Friday of every month, Old Town Winchester plays host to artists with special gallery events, muscians playing in restaurants and cafes, and many of our shops stay open late. Every month is something a little different.
Bell Grove Plantation Opening Day

Belle Grove Plantation reopens to the public after being closed for the winter on March 31! Stop by for a visit with FREE ADMISSION Saturday only. The Manor House and Historic Landscape will be open for tours from 10 until 4. Check out their calendar of events here.

Bloomin' Wine and Fine Art Festival

The Apple Blossom festivities start with a Wine and Fine Arts Festival featuring area vineyards, food exhibitors, local artisans and live musical entertainment to complete the atmosphere. There will also be a concert in the Grand Ballroom of the George Washington Hotel featuring  the Winchester Orchestra. .

"Timeless" This long-standing tradition features the world's largest fire fighters' parade; an entertaining Grand Feature parade through scenic downtown Winchester; Weekend in the Park, featuring a wide variety of crafters; a bluegrass concert, a carnival and an outstanding fireworks display! National Competition: North-South Skirmish Association

Member units compete in live-fire matches with original or authentic reproduction Civil War period muskets, carbines, breech loading rifles, revolvers, mortars and cannons. Newtown Heritage Festival May 26 This free family friendly festival takes place throughout Main Street, Stephens City. Come participate in the Apple Crate Derby for six to 12 year olds, craft show, demonstrating artisans, parade and fireworks on Saturday, live music, children’s events, wagon rides, museum tours and more. Old Court House Civil War Museum Re-enactment

See historians portray the life of famous military, political and civilian personalities from the Civil War. Shenandoah Valley Steam & Gas Engine Show

This show features some of the finest restored farm tractors, restored farm equipment, a working steam powered belt driven saw mill, demonstrations of a vintage belt driven threshing machine and hay bailer, a "parade of tractors," and a tractor pull featuring ONLY vintage stock farm tractors. 148th Civil War Battle Re-enactment Oct. 19-21 Make Candy Hill Campground your base "camp" from which to experience the re-enactment of the Battle of Cedar Creek. Visit the battlefield to witness thousands of re-enactors as they recreate the last great Civil War battle of the Shenandoah Valley. Hundreds of cavalry and scores of artillery participate in daily battles and demonstrations. Spectators are invited to visit living history and military camps, enjoy musical and historical presentations in the symposium tent, shop on Sutler Row for one of a kind items, dine on great food, and more.
